The Amphitheatre

The Amphitheatre is designed to be a significant venue in Guwahati for showcasing various disciplines of Performing Arts. Dug into the grounds of the Brahmaputra River Heritage Center, the Amphitheatre overlooks the scenic banks of the River Brahmaputra. The long circular backdrop of its stage is a seamless painting depicting LachitBorPhukan atop Itakhuli hill directing his men for an onslaught, flora and fauna of the Kaziranga National Park, and women plucking Tea leaves in a Tea Garden.

Cultural Workshops

The premises of the Brahmaputra River Heritage Centre along with the Amphitheatre will hostcultural workshops for music, dance, theatre and fine arts. Regular workshops, classes and activities will be conducted to study and impart training in various traditional fine arts and performing arts.
